Sara is an Iranian children’s book illustrator based in Spain. She has been drawing and painting since childhood and creates playful, character-driven illustration with a particular love for children and animals. Her expressive faces and sense of humour give her characters plenty of personality.

Sara works primarily in Procreate and enjoys exploring different digital styles depending on the story and mood. She enjoys bringing both original picture-book stories and classic tales to life and is always interested in exploring new characters and worlds.

Before focusing on illustration Sara studied English teaching and spent several years teaching children, teenagers and adults. Outside her studio, she draws inspiration from films, animals, fashion and travel.
